Danville, VA -- The Tobacco Commission considered an application requesting almost $2 million to go towards the Berry Hill mega park in Pittsylvania County.
The money would go towards studies to get a permit for the project. They need to get that permit before they can start grading the site. However, at the request of the Danville Pittsylvania Regional Industrial Facility Authority, who owns the park, they tabled the request.
Representatives say they are not ready for it at this point in the process. When the park is completed, it is expected to bring in many jobs to the area.
