UPDATED: Police Find Body of Woman in Lynchburg


UPDATE: 3:10 p.m.

Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg Police say they found the body of a woman Wednesday, but could not make a positive I.D. 

The body will be sent to the medical examiner's office for positive I.D.

Lynchburg, VA - A press conference is expected to be underway soon in Lynchburg about the search for missing 18 year old Jamisha Gilbert.

Police have set up a command post off of Concord Turnpike near the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road. Police presence has been especially heavy at Megginson Cemetery Wednesday.

A press conference is expected within the hour. 

Gilbert was last seen late Thursday night in Lynchburg after she dropped her boyfriend off at home.

Police found Gilbert's car early Friday morning, wrecked and abandoned on the Concord Turnpike.
