Pittsylvania Co., VA – Pittsylvania and Campbell Co. Investigators have recovered a large amount of stolen property after searching the vehicle and residence of a Ringgold man arrested for numerous break-ins.

Campbell County investigators arrested Raymond Ray Hackett after a number of break-ins in November.

Investigators say Hackett is also suspect in numerous break-ins and has charges pending in multiple jurisdictions including several in Pittsylvania County.

Investigators say Hackett was a frequent vendor at flea markets all across the area. Hackett is believed to have sold stolen merchandise at flea markets in Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Danville.

Investigators are asking the public's help in locating merchandise sold by Hackett. Of particular interest are firearms, jewelry, and electronics.

Pittsylvania County and Campbell County investigators executed search warrants on Hackett's vehicle and residence and recovered a large quantity of property they believe was stolen.

A property viewing held at the Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office in November resulted in several victims identifying their belongings.

Another property viewing is scheduled for next week with additional property viewings scheduled as more property is recovered and investigators identify more victims.

If you have information on Hackett or if you are someone you know may have purchased merchandise from him in the past two years, investigators ask that you contact Deputy J.D. Delappe with the Pittsylvania County Burglary Task Force, or Investigator Molly Motley at 434-432-7800 or 434-432-7931.
