Firefighters Helping Girl with Cancer

Forest, VA - The Forest Volunteer Fire Department is holding a fundraiser to help the family of a little girl battling Cancer.

Cassidy Richardson, 9, has been receiving treatment at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore for Osteosarcoma. Cassidy lives in Forest, and when the volunteer firefighters there heard about her, they wanted to help.

The fire department is holding a Brunswick Stew and Holiday Bazaar fundraiser at the firehouse this weekend.

They're calling the event "Frolic in Forest". It's at the Forest Volunteer Fire Department station on Thomas Jefferson Road from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Saturday.
