Lynchburg - The Hill City's pro basketball team, the Lynchburg Legends, has changed its name to the Lynchburg Titans and joined the 13-team Premier Basketball League based in Chicago. The league, which has been rated the second-best minor league behind the NBA Developmental League, features teams from Illinois to upstate New York.
Derek Polley, LYNCHBURG TITANS PRESIDENT/CEO, said "It's gonna have more visibility for the city of Lynchburg and for the team. There's gonna be better competition for the players and it's going to be more entertaining and a good quality of players that will be coming in."
The Titans play their games in the Lynchburg Armory, their home opener is Saturday, January 11th.
