El Paso, TX - The Hokies hit the practice field in El Paso for the first time Friday morning. But what a welcome they got Thursday evening when they touched down in Texas, site of Tuesday's Sun Bowl matchup with UCLA.
A Mariachi band, dancers, singers, and more greeted the Hokies. Hokies Head Coach Frank Beamer donned a sombrero and showed off some of his dance moves. Beamer called it the best bowl welcome the Hokies have ever had. Kyle Fuller says he's hoping to play Tuesday as he continues to recover from core muscle surgery last month. Antone Exum is hoping to play as well, recovering from an ankle injury.
