LYNCHBURG - Liberty used an 18-0 run as a part of a 23-2 run in the first half and then ripped off a 15-0 run in the second half en route to a 75-52 win over Campbell.

The Lady Flames led by 14 at halftime. That lead was cut to just one after Campbell outscored Liberty 17-4 during the first 5:42 of the second half (47-46) but then LU erupted for another run that led to the eventual 23-point victory.
Coach Carey Green said before the game that so far this season his team deserved a grade of a C after a 5-5 start. Aside from a short time in the second half, they certainly graded better than that.
Mickalya Sanders led LU with 13 points. Ashley Rininger added 12.
-The Lady Flames hit eight triples and racked up 36 points in the paint.
-Four Lady Flames were in double figures as Liberty improved to 6-5 overall with its fifth straight win.
-Campbell shot a season-low 27.1 percent (16-of-59) from the field in losing its second straight game. The Lady Camels drop to 7-4 overall and 2-1 in the Big South.
-Nelson County graduate Emily Stotmeister is a freshman for Campbell. She played one minute at the end of the game.
-Liberty will take to the road for a three-game Big South Conference swing through North and South Carolina, beginning Monday evening at High Point (5-6, 1-1 Big South). Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. at the Millis Center.
