Rabid Raccoon First Case of 2014 in Pittsylvania County

Pittsylvania County, VA - A warning for residents in part of Pittsylvania County. The Health Department says a raccoon in the Tucker Road area of Gretna has tested positive for rabies.

It's possible the raccoon came in to contact with pets, so vaccinate your dog or cat if you haven't, and watch all your animals for signs of rabies.
