Salem, VA - The Salem Stampede Championship Rodeo has made it way back into the area for those looking for a little Americana this weekend.
More than 200 cowboys and cowgirls are set to show off their skills on a variety of exhibitions.
Bull riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling and tie-down roping all part of the fun.
This rodeo began 47-years ago and was started by Loretta Lynn.
Back then it was called The Loretta Lynn Rodeo.
"It's something you can bring the family to whether they are 2 or 82 and enjoy a show. Enjoy something that is clean and wholesome," said Kevin Debusk with the Imperial Rodeo Company.
Show times are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with a final show starting Sunday at 2 p.m.
