New York - New York Giants running back David Wilson out of Danville will have neck surgery next week and his future in football is uncertain.
Wilson will have a fusion of the vertebrae this coming Thursday to repair a herniated disc. Giants GM Jerry Reese says the team medical staff feels like Wilson will be ready to play this fall, but adds the neck and back can be pretty tricky, so you never know. Reese says what's most important right now is getting Wilson healthy. He played in just five games this year.
