Lynchburg, VA - After several waves of rain totaling 1 to nearly 2" across the ABC 13 Viewing area Saturday morning and afternoon, foggy conditions set in for many before breezes picked back up.

Winds will gust over 15-30 mph at times, especially Bedford and west, into Sunday.

Believe it or not, a "cold" front will help warm temperatures up for Sunday, as it will scour out the low level cold and moist layer that was held in place Saturday by the rain.

Highs will be in the 50s both Sunday and Monday, but it will be very breezy.

There are rumors of another cold air outbreak later next week, but it won't be as bad as many fear.

Still, a clipper and cold front may bring a few snow showers to the area by Wednesday.

ABC 13 Meteorologist Lyndsay Tapases has your complete forecast and what to expect from the ABC 13 Weather Center.

UPDATE: 11:48 a.m.

For the most part, heavier rain will cause urban flooding of poor drainage areas into the late afternoon before ending this evening.

Lynchburg, VA - After one line of storms dumped over an inch of rain early Saturday, another strong line of wind, rain, and gusty storms are pushing into the Roanoke Valley area today.

The line of storms could stay powerful enough to cause 40 mph winds or greater along with very heavy rainfall as they move across Southside and enter Greater Bedford and Lynchburg into Saturday afternoon.

With any storms, isolated higher wind gusts could cause damage or power outages in addition to urban and street flooding or low lying areas.

The bad weather will continue in waves, so not everyone will see it, but everyone should keep an eye out for heavy squalls and rain through the afternoon, ending this evening.
