Duke Edges UVa 69-65 in ACC Thriller

Durham - Virginia wiped out an 11-point deficit with just three-and-a-half minutes to play, but Duke got a great bounce on a three-pointer in the final 20 seconds to pull out a 69-65 win.

Duke led by eight at the half and was up by 11 with less than four minutes left when the Cavaliers made their run.  Virginia scored 11 straight points in just over two minutes to tie the game at 63, then took the lead with 37 seconds left 65-64 on two Malcolm Brogdon free throws.

Then with 19 seconds left, Rasheed Sulaimon's three-pointer bounces high into the air and drops straight down and through the basket to give the Blue Devils the lead.

Virginia had a chance to tie with less than 10 seconds left, but Joe Harris' leaner in the lane wouldn't go down, the Blue Devils' Amile Jefferson hit two free throws with seven seconds left to help seal the deal.

Sulaimon led all scorers with 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including 4-of-5 3's.  Brogdon led UVa with 17, Harris added 15.

With the win, Duke improves to 13-and-4 overall, 2-2 in the ACC.  Virginia drops to 12-5, 3-1 in the ACC.  UVa's next game is Saturday at noon at home against Florida State.
