It happened at America's Best Inn on Kelco Place just before 1:30 Wednesday morning. According to police, a car was leaving the scene when they arrived. One person in that car had been shot.  Police said the people in the car claimed they were in a hotel room with three female guests when a man came into the room and tried to rob them.
