Lynchburg - Lynchburg won for the eighth time in its last 10 games, holding off a strong challenge from Randolph to beat the WildCats 78-66 Wednesday night at Randolph.

Lynchburg improves to 12-and-4 on the season, 5-and-2 in the ODAC while Randolph drops to 9-and-7, 3-and-4 in the ODAC.

The Hornets led by just two at the half but ran their margin to 48-40 before Randolph stormed back with seven straight points to pull within one.

Randolph's Mike Ehilegbu led all scorers with 22 and pulled down a team-best six rebounds.
