Bedford DJ Putting on Black History Gospel Fest


Bedford, VA - Black History Month will kick off with a joyful noise in Bedford, with a gospel event planned for Saturday.

Jonathan Hayden is a barber by day, but is well known as DJ Showtime.

Hayden is putting together a Gospel Fest in honor of Black History Month. The event will include three gospel groups, eight solo singers, and five speakers.

Hayden hopes to raise money for the Sickle Cell Foundation.

The event is Saturday, February 1 at the Liberty High School Auditorium.

Doors open at 4:30p.m., with the music and speakers starting at 5p.m.

Tickets are $10 at the door.
