One Person Displaced by Lynchburg House Fire


Lynchburg, VA- One person has been displaced by a house fire in Lynchburg Thursday.

Crews responded to the home in the 2500 block of Circle Road around 12:45 p.m. Chief Ricky Bomar with the Lynchburg Fire Department says there was heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor of the home when they arrived.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to put the flames out. One person was home when the fire started, but they got out safely and no one was injured.

Bomar says the fire caused extensive damage throughout the house. The cause is still under investigation.
