Lynchburg - The Liberty women put an end to their two-game losing skid, beating Coastal Carolina for the 42nd straight time Thursday night, a streak that dates back to 1996. The Flames won Thursday night 64-46.
The Flames led by 12 at the half and never let their lead go below 12 the entire second half.
Ashley Rininger led LU's scoring with 13 points, followed closely by Katelyn Adams with 12 and Emily Frazier with 10. Rininger also had 10 rebounds for a double-double. Sadalia Ellis chipped in six points and seven assists.
Angelica Henry led Coastal Carolina with 13, Megan Pittman added 10. The Flames improve to 13-and-9 overall, 9-and-4 in the Big South and will host Charleston Southern Saturday at 2.
