Radford - Ya Ya Anderson and Rashun Davis each scored 21 points as Radford beat UNC Asheville 102-92 Thursday night in a game closed to the general public due to snow accumulation.
Davis scored 15 points in the second half and dished out five assists. Anderson hit four 3-pointers and finished 7 of 12 from the field. UNC-Asheville freshman Andrew Rowsey out of Rockbridge County poured in a career-high 41 points on 14-of-28 shooting to lead the Bulldogs and broke the Dedmon Center scoring record with the effort.
Asheville broke out to a fast 21-6 lead the opening minutes before the Highlanders stormed back to grab a nine-point lead at the half 54-45.
With the win, Radford (16-9, 7-4 Big South) is tied with VMI for the top spot in the Big South's North Division. UNC Asheville (13-12, 7-4) drops into a three-way tie for first in the South Division.
