FCP Conference Tourney Scores and Highlights - Monday

BOYS

•Chatham (8-11) won at Randolph-Henry 74-51. Cody Coeburn had 17 points for the Cavaliers. Next up – a date with FCP's number one ranked team - Dan River. That Conference 44 semifinal game will be Wednesday night in Ringgold.

 

•Gretna (9-12) came back to beat Appomattox 63-57. Javon Bennett had a game-high 24 points for Gretna. The Hawks will face the Conference 37 two seed Buckingham Wednesday night.

 

•William Campbell jumped out to a large first quarter lead and never looked back against Highland. The Generals won 69-44 and will travel to Parry McCluer Wednesday night for the Conference 44 semifinals.

 

•Rustburg's season is still alive. They used a 14-0 in the first half to aid a 64-58 win over Tunstall. Rustburg had a sizable 4th quarter lead but Tunstall was able to come back when Rustburg made just one of their final eight free throws. Overall the Red Devils went 24-47 from the line. Matt Kimble had 24 points for Rustburg. Mike Jones added 18. Tunstall's Dustin Kuczinski had 23 points in their season-ending loss. Rustburg will now face Conference 30's top seed Heritage Wednesday at Rustburg.

 

•Franklin County will host Cosby in the Conference 3 semifinals on Wednesday. Cosby beat Varina 68-42.

 

•In Conference 45, Radford beat Craig County 98-18 and on Thursday will face Auburn in the quarterfinals.

 

•Bath County at Auburn beat Bath County 77-47. Auburn will face Radford next.

 

•Narrows beat Eastern Montgomery 55-47. They'll face Covington after they beat Bland County 64-52.

 

•Giles defeated Glenvar 83-77.

 

•VES beat Lynchburg home school 86-55. Aaron Young had 32 points for VES.

 

•In two overtimes, Roanoke Catholic beat Fishburne Military 88-84.

 

•In the VACA South Tournament, Parkway Christian won 60-39 over Southwest Virginia Home School.

 

•Thomas Dale defeated James River-Midlothian 68-62 so Thomas Dale will travel to Roanoke to face Patrick Henry Wednesday.

 

•Central Lunenburg at Cumberland

GIRLS

•Heritage bat Tunstall 67-49. Cameron Carter had 24 points and Kadijah Anderson had 25 for the Pioneers. Heritage will face Brookville at Brookville Wednesday in the Conference 30 semifinals.

 

•Central Lunenburg at William Campbell, 5pm

 

•Chatham won 59-23 over Appomattox. Jaliyuah Giggetts had 16 points for Chatham. They'll face Conference 37's number one seed Buckingham on Wednesday.

 

•Patrick Henry lost at James River-Midlothian 63-25.

 

•Narrows won 54-52 over Craig County.

 

•In Conference 45, Sa'Mone Moore surpassed 2,000 career points in Covington's 70-36 win over Bland.

 

•Also in Conference 45, Auburn beat Bath County 57-20.

 

•Radford had no problems with Eastern Montgomery winning 93-22.

 

•Holy Cross beat Chatham Hall 33-4. Hannah Todd had 12 points for Holy Cross.

 

•Randolph-Henry at Gretna
