JF Students Honor Classmate with Safety Belt Challenge

Posted:

Forest, VA - Jefferson Forest High School is kicking off a program to get students to wear safety belts in memory of a classmate.

Bronwyn's Challenge starts with a meeting for parents tonight (Tuesday) at 7 p.m. at the school. An assembly for juniors and seniors is set for Wednesday.

Students who sign a pledge to buckle up will get a wristband that says "Click it for Bronwyn" to wear as a reminder.

Bronwyn Farris, 15, was killed in a crash last month.  Police say she was not wearing her safety belt.
