Joan Foster Announces Campaign For Re-Election

Lynchburg, VA - "There's just I feel, some unfinished business yet. So I want to be part of that momentum that continues to propel Lynchburg forward" said Joan Foster at an event announcing her campaign for re-election to Lynchburg City Council, Thursday.

Foster announced Thursday that she will seek a fourth term on Lynchburg City Council.

Foster hosted the event at the Academy of Fine Arts to show case her record of supporting downtown revitalization.

When asked why she wanted to run again, Foster said she couldn't imagine not serving on council.

She's had a seat there for nearly 12 years, including being both the city's Mayor and Vice Mayor. Foster is running for an at-large council seat. Meaning if elected, she'll represent the entire city population.
