UPDATE: 5:15 p.m.

Buena Vista, VA - Rockbridge area pastor Larry Clark was in a closed juvenile and domestic courtroom for a preliminary hearing Tuesday that resulted in 24 more charges being certified to a grand jury.

The 61-year old, already facing three certified charges, faces an additional 12 counts of indecent liberties, 20 charges of carnal knowledge and two charges of cruelty to a child.

All are felonies.

The certified charges were sent to the grand jury following a closed preliminary hearing that included two of the alleged victim's testimony.

One teen testified in person; the second via closed circuit television.

Before the hearing the judge heard arguments from lawyers representing WSET to allow reporters in the courtroom, which would normally be open to the public.

Media outlets typically do not divulge information identifying alleged victims of sexual crimes.

Regardless, citing the sensitivity of the case and concern for the victims, Judge Anita Filson denied the request and then closed the hearing to the public.

Afterward Investigator Miles Kelly, of the Rockbridge County Sheriff's Department, said investigators had "put (the boys) under a lot of pressure" to tell the truth and were confident the evidence will prove their case.

Three charges from alleged sexual contact with a third teen have already been certified.

Kelly says the department has been under community pressure with concerns the teens are lying. Kelly says that sentiment seems to be changing as more alleged victims are brought forward.

Kelly says the abuse the three boys, aged 14 or 15, began in early 2011 and ended in late summer or early fall of 2013.

The Commonwealth will argue that Clark communicated with the boys via text messaging and through Facebook with the alleged abuse occurring at Clark's Rockbridge County home and adjacent church property located across the street in Buena Vista.

Buena Vista originally opened the case and then handed it off to Rockbridge County once it was determined a majority of the alleged crimes happened there.

Clark, before his incarceration led the congregation at Pentecostal Outreach Church on West 41st Street.
