Antwan Burrus and Tomasz Gielo both added 20 points for Liberty (11-19, 5-10 Big South), as the Flames shot 57.6 percent from the field. Andrew Smith added 12 points.

Liberty outscored Longwood 50-22 in the paint.

Liberty put together an 8-0 run, as Sanders scored five consecutive points before Gielo hit a 3, to open a 35-26 lead. The Flames took a 42-33 lead to half and never led by fewer than six points after the break.
Lucas Woodhouse, who hit the game-winning 3 in a 69-66 win over Liberty on Jan. 22, led Longwood (8-22, 3-12) with 24 points. Tristan Carey added 20 and Karl Ziegler had 12.
Liberty's win snapped a two-game losing streak against Longwood. After a seven-game losing skid, Liberty has won its last two contests while Longwood lost for the third game in a row.

With the loss Longwood is locked into the 6 seed in the Big South Tournament. Liberty could still be the 4 seed with a win Saturday against Radford and some help from Campbell. If not they'll bet the 5 seed.
