UPDATE: New Information In Kevin Quick Investigation

Waynesboro, VA - The murder investigation of Kevin Quick is now spanning across the state.

Quick, who was a Captain with the Waynesboro Police Department's reserves unit, disappeared on January 31st, and was found dead less than a week later.

Search warrants and court documents are painting a better picture of what happened after Quick's disappearance. Last month investigators filed around 40 search warrants with area codes in central and northern Virginia, as well as Washington D.C., according to the Charlottesville Daily Progress.

These warrants were mostly for records from social media companies and cell phone accounts and according to the Daily Progress, leads investigators to believe Quick died the night he went missing, on February 1st.

Court records say his body was found several days later in a logging area in Goochland County.

22 year old Anthony White, who was arrested on gang charges in this case, has ties to the Bloods.

State police, however, have not directly named the gang in connection to Quick's death.

According to the Progress, police say Quick's 20 year career as an auxiliary officer does not seem to play a role in the case.

The Daily Progress is also reporting the 45 year-old Quick, who worked at Invista for 18 years, was laid off in September.

No one has been charged with murder, and police have yet to release the cause of Quick's death.
