Malaysia Airlines Flight Missing


UPDATE: 10:30 p.m.

Malaysia - Officials say there are at least three Americans aboard the flight that is missing.

People waiting for information at the Beijing International Airport have been asked to move to a hotel nearby to wait further news.


UPDATE: 10:00 p.m.

Malaysia - Officials say that the flight took off from Kuala Lumpur at 12:41 a.m. and was supposed to land in Beijing at 6:30 a.m.

They say that the aircraft only had enough fuel to last 7 hours and at around 8:30 a.m. would have completely run out.

Malaysia is 13 hours ahead of Virginia.


Malaysia - Contact has been lost with a Malaysia Airlines flight that was headed to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur on Friday.

The Boeing 777-200 has over 200 passengers and at least a dozen crew members on board.

Malaysia Airlines released a statement saying the air traffic control in Malaysia lost contact with flight MH-370 about two hours into the six hour flight.

A search rescue team is working to track down the plane.
