Jersey Mike's Giving Back To United Way

Posted:

Lynchburg, VA- March is a month of giving for Jersey Mike's Restaurants all over the country. Area chains pick a charity to support and give portions of their profits to them.

Our two Lynchburg locations are supporting the United Way of Central Virginia.

This is the second year they have chosen to support them. There are many different ways you can donate. Jersey Mike's says it is part of their mission to serve the community. They say last year they raised close to 10 thousand dollars for the United Way.

"They do a lot for the community and the Central Virginia area and it was a great partnership last year so we kind of felt like we wanted to build on that and do that again this year," said Scott Buckner who is the owner of Jersey Mike's Subs in Lynchburg.

While portions of proceeds go to the United Way all month long, on March 26th, 100 -percent of sales will be given directly to the United Way. Jersey Mike's says they hope to raise more money this year since they have two stores in Lynchburg now.
