LU Baseball Routs Campbell 17-1 in Big South Opener


Lynchburg - Nick Lacik and Ryan Seiz drove in four runs apiece, Dalton Britt and Dylan Allen three each as Liberty routed Campbell 17-1 Friday afternoon in the Big South opener for both teams.

The Flames extended their win streak to seven with the victory.  Liberty scored three in the first to grab a 3-0 lead, then broke the game wide open with a 10-run 4th.

Lacik went 4-for-4 with four RBIs, Allen went 3-for-3, posting the first three-hit game of his career, driving in three runs and scoring three.  Seiz added his fourth homer of the year and drove in four runs.  

LU improves to 13-and-6 on the year, 1-0 in the Big South, the Flames have won 10 of their last 11 contests.  Campbell is also 13-6 overall, 0-and-1 in the conference.

Due to forecasted inclement weather for Lynchburg on Sunday, Liberty and Campbell will play a doubleheader at Liberty Baseball Stadium Saturday.  First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
