Cross Roads Outdoorsman Show Kicks Off in Chatham

Pittsylvania Co., VA - Folks in Pittsylvania County are gearing up for the annual Cross Roads Outdoorsman Show.

The event kicked off Friday at the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex in Chatham.

There were lots of activities including food, music, and vendors of outdoors equipment - as well as a chainsaw sculptor.

Tomorrow, folks can participate in 3D archery and a turkey calling competition. Organizers say it's all for a good cause.

Proceeds from admission go to CrossRoads Reconciliation Services - a Christian-based counseling service in Danville.

"We love it here. Every year it grows and gets bigger and more fun and we just love that families can do this together. And it's something that's fun for every age group, " said Cross Roads Founder/Director Regina Curtis.

Tickets are $5 for adults. Children 12 and under are free.
