Habitat For Humanity Builds 238th House

Lynchburg, VA-  A crowd came out in Lynchburg Saturday morning to celebrate the completion of an exciting project. The Engineers Build Group for Habitat for Humanity has been working on a home for nearly six months, and today they saw all their hard work pay off.

The house was built for Tara Bryant, who will live there with her two daughters. She put in more than 300 hours of her own to help construct the house. The new homeowner is thrilled to finally be moving in.

"Oh my goodness, this is one of my dreams fulfilled. This is what I always wanted and like I say, the time has finally now come and I'm just so excited to be a homeowner now. No more apartments," said Bryant.

Habitat for Humanity said the Bryant family will close on the house Tuesday and then move into their new home. This makes the 283rd house the organization has built in Lynchburg.
