Pittsylvania Co. Sheriff's Office Helps U.S. Marshals Make Arrest

Dry Fork, Va- The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office has helped capture a man wanted by federal officials.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, 68-year-old Charles Luther Bailey was taken into custody in Dry Fork at a home in the 1000 block of Sportsman Road.

Officials had been searching for Bailey for over a year on charges of sexual battery on a child, and distributing obscene material to a minor.

He was last seen in Florida in January 2013. Officials tracked his wife to Dry Fork, where they located Bailey himself.

The arrest was conducted by members of the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
