Lynchburg Cloth Diaper Closet Opens

Lynchburg, VA- A national organization that loans cloth diapers to families who cannot otherwise afford them, has opened a local chapter right here in Lynchburg. It is called the Rebecca Foundation Cloth Diaper Closet.

The president of the Lynchburg Chapter said cloth diapers save families money and help the environment, but admits the investment can be a costly one. She benefited from the program herself, and now wants to help other families save money on diapers.

"Diapers are expensive. I mean if you think about how much a box or a case of diapers is every month and how many diapers your child will go through every month, you can start out with cloth diapers anywhere from $100 to $200 to start out with," said Sherry Klinedinst who is the Chapter President.

The program has nearly one hundred diapers in their inventory that have been donated and are ready to be distributed. All you have to do is apply online. You can also check out their Face book page here.
