Lunchbox Lecture on Women Spies


Bedford County, VA - The National D-day Memorial is hosting a Lunchbox Lecture titled "Women Spies of World War Two" for Women's History Month Tuesday, March 25, 2014.

The program is centered on three women - Virginia Hall, Christine Granville, and Nancy Wake.

Hall was an American spy who helped escape POWs and kill 150 German soldiers.

Granville was the first British female spy and Wake parachuted into France.

It starts Tuesday at noon at the Bedford Welcome Center.

It's free to the public and guests are encouraged to bring a lunch.
