Commonwealth's Attorney: No Criminal Charges in Deeds Attack

Posted:

Bath Co., VA - The Bath County Commonwealth's Attorney says no criminal charges will be filed in the attack on State Senator Creigh Deeds.

State Police released a letter Thursday that John Singleton sent to their office about the matter.  Singleton says he has reviewed the materials resulting from the State Police investigation and finds no criminal involvement in Deeds' attack or the death of his son, Gus Deeds.

Gus Deeds killed himself in November after attacking his father at his Bath County home.
