Two Arrested on Drug Charges in Botetourt Co.


Botetourt Co., VA - Two men in Botetourt County are in jail tonight on drug-related charges after a narcotics investigation Friday.

Botetourt County Sheriff Ronnie Sprinkle says the arrest happened around 2:30 p.m. in the Exit 150 area of the county.

Investigators say two suspects were taken into custody and two others fled on foot.

Deputies later found the two suspects that ran: Brandon M. Calloway, 29, of Lynchburg and Karl C. Depas, 29, of Roanoke.

Both have been charged with distribution of heroin, conspiracy to distribute heroin, and obstruction of justice. The two are being held at Botetourt County Jail without bond.

The two other suspects that were taken into custody were questioned and released, with charges pending.
