Restaurant Again Investigated Over Stripping Allegations

Roanoke, VA - Virginia ABC is investigating after allegations that male strippers danced at a restaurant.

This is not the first investigation into this restaurant.

202 Market in Roanoke had its alcohol license suspended in 2011 after a former city employee stripped during a charity auction.

A spokeswoman for ABC confirmed an investigation is underway into 202 Market for a show the business hosted last month.

This all started with an anonymous call to ABC - tipping them off to an advertised show by a Las Vegas-based group called, "Men From Las Vegas".

A search warrant in Roanoke Circuit Court shows the agent involved researched the Facebook post advertising the show and determined the group involved is a strip group.

The agent also used the word of his anonymous source - who claimed to have seen strippers at 202 Market on the night in question - to get a judge to sign off on the search warrant.

Items taken by agents included two digital video recorders.

Attempts to speak with the owner of 202 Market were unsuccessful.

One employee said off camera that he was at the performance in question and felt confident that once the investigation is over the restaurant will be exonerated.
