Lynchburg Man Receives Suspended Sentence for Throwing Snowballs

Lynchburg, VA- Be careful the next time you throw a snowball because it could land you in court. A Lynchburg man received a 30-day jail sentence for doing just that. A judge suspended the sentence.

Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Joseph Lee says 19-year-old Chrisean Ford threw several snowballs at a vehicle during a February snow storm, damaging the car's windshield wiper. Ford was originally charged with unlawfully shooting or throwing objects at a vehicle.

He pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of destruction of property. Ford will also have to pay for repairs to the windshield wiper.
