LU Creates Events Space for Community Next to Old Pate Chapel

Lynchburg, VA - With the completion of its newest project, Liberty University has created spaces for their students to live, learn, and now love.

The school has transformed part of its property at 701 Thomas Road into a reception hall. The space is right next door to the Old Pate Chapel, a popular destination with Liberty students and staff to exchange vows.

We're told the renovation is in line with President Jerry Falwell Junior's vision for the school.

"Be available to Liberty Students and alumni, and faculty and staff to have a facility where they can go to school at Liberty and then graduate and get married within a Liberty property," SAID Meghan Wall with LU's Events Office.

Liberty says use of the property isn't just limited to those affiliated with the school. Anyone in the community is welcome to reserve either space.
