Lynchburg, VA- Get out and enjoy the warm weather with these weekend activities.

Saturday, get your running shoes on for the Blossom to Bottle 5K. Johnson's Orchards and the Bedford YMCA are putting it on to benefit a cancer program held at the Y. The race will be held at Johnson's Orchards and Peaks of Otter Winery in Bedford. It starts at 9 a.m. and costs 15 dollars a person in advance, 20 bucks the day of. You can register here.

Take the kids out to an Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Festival at Presbyterian Homes and Family Services and Family Alliance in Lynchburg. The festival is from ten until two on Saturday. The egg hunt starts at 10:30. There will be 9 thousand prize-loaded eggs. 50 will have a golden ticket that enters you in a drawing for a college scholarship. There will also be face painting, hay rides, games, and music. The event is for kids 12 and under and costs 10 dollars per carload. All the proceeds go to the Kiwanis Club's Eliminate Program.

The Lynchburg College Chamber Singers will perform a Civil War music concert Saturday afternoon. The concert is Old City Cemetery at 3 p.m. It's the first in a series of special events to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Lynchburg. You have to make reservations, but the concert is free.
