Lynchburg, VA - The Lynchburg Public Library is holding a book discussion Thursday night at E.C. Glass. They're hosting Lynchburg Reads, an event to bring children and adults in the community together to talk about literature.

Thursday night's discussion will include "The Other Wes Moore," by Wes Moore, and E.C. Glass students will read passages from "Insights from Inside," a collection of letters from inmates written to teenagers.

Event organizers hope it encourages people of all ages to pick up a book.

"The goal is just to bring everyone together and learn to read I think. Every year the themes are very different. Last year Life of Pi was discussed. But this year the goal is really to get everybody in the community involved," said Hannah Robinson, a member of the Lynchburg Reads Committee.

Lynchburg Reads starts at 7 p.m. Thursday night at the E.C. Glass High School auditorium. Admission is free.
