Volunteers Prep for CMN Kickoff

Lynchburg, VA - Volunteers gathered at the Cancer Center in Lynchburg Thursday to share their success stories working for the Children's Miracle Network.

The volunteers also thanked area Walmart employees who've helped the cause.

The volunteers heard individual stories about kids they have helped.

One of the kids who has made remarkable progress is named Levi, who spent 72 days at Virginia Baptist Hospital.

"He was born at 29 weeks, he was 11 weeks early...He weighed one pound and 12 ounces, so, honestly they helped him grow, and kept him alive for us," said mother Kristin Abbott.

Levi is 15 months old now, and is learning to walk and talk. His Mom says his growth is almost normal now.
