Urban Agriculture Summit Begins This Week



Lynchburg, VA - The Urban Agricultural Summit is taking place this week.

The summit officially begins Tuesday at the Holiday Inn and will last through Wednesday.  Tuesday's guest speakers include Virginia first lady Dorothy McAuliffe and Lynchburg City Manager L. Kimball Payne III.

On Wednesday, there will be a panel discussion over the economic and health benefits of urban agriculture.

Monday night, folks attending the summit are invited to a screening of the film Growing Cities: A Film About URban Farming in America.  That screening is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
