The car then hit a telephone pole and ended up in the front yard of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church.

The pedestrian and driver were both taken to Lynchburg General.

Fort Avenue between Sandusky and Autumn Drives will be closed until the telephone pole is fixed.
