Danville Salvation Army Tells Easter Story Through Journey to the Cross

Posted:
Danville, VA--The Salvation Army in Danville celebrated Easter this weekend by taking the public through what Christians believe was the last days of Jesus Christ.

They held their third annual Journey to the Cross. It's made up of 13 different stations that represent important moments leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus. Each station had an interactive element to it. The organizer said when people can touch, taste, or smell something at each station, it brings the Easter story to life again.

"This allows you to get a fresh telling of the story. It's really amazing. Everybody that's gone through has said, 'you know I didn't remember this,' and then tell something from one of the stations," said Karl Dahlin,Corp Officer for Danville Salvation Army.

The Salvation Army also had an Easter egg hunt and an Easter service.
