Posted:
Charlotte Co., VA - For the hardworking people of Charlotte County, steady jobs have been in short supply.

That's why the announcement Corsi Cabinets is opening a facility in Keysville, is an encouraging sign.

Governor McAuliffe approved a $100,000 grant to help secure the project for Virginia.

The Indianapolis-based manufacturer will invest approximately 5 million dollars to establish the operation here in Charlotte County.

What does that mean for the people of Charlotte County?

Jobs - Over 100 of them.

County Administrator Susan Adams said the people of Charlotte County impressed the people at Corsi. The mindset of Charlotte County, Adams said, is simply that "We are here to do business. We are a business friendly community, we have a good education system, we have a good workforce, and we have a trainable workforce."

The company will renovate and expand the facility in the Charlotte County Indaccommodaterk to accomodate the new workforce.

With an unemployment rate hovering at close to 8 percent, residents like Craig Russell hope this is exactly the boost that Charlotte County needs.

Russell stated "It's great, Charlotte County needs it. This will be something, I hope, that helps turn our economy around."
