Boys Tennis:

E.C. Glass beat Salem 5-1 to win the first Conference 24 boys tennis championship.  Salem's number 1, defending state champion Michael Drougas, beat Glass' Nick Daly 6-2, 6-2, but the Hilltoppers won the other five singles matches to clinch the victory.  Trent Daly, Moses Hutchison, Tom Robertson, Andrew Bowden and J.D. Bowden all won their singles matches as E.C. Glass improves to 19-and-0 on the season.    SEE VIDEO PLAYER FOR HIGHLIGHTS

Brookville won the Conference 30 boys tennis championship 5-2 over Heritage.  The Bees won four of the six singles matches, then the doubles team of Bryce Barber and Danny Choi clinched the team victory with a win at number one doubles.  Both Brookville and Heritage advance to the Region 3A Team Tournament.  


Boys Soccer:

Jefferson Forest 4, Heritage 0 - Brian McConkey, Chris Palazzi, Josh Owen and Aaron Crance scored for JF, the Cavaliers improve to 10-3-and-2 on the season.   SEE VIDEO PLAYER FOR HIGHLIGHTS

E.C. Glass 4, Amherst Co. 1 - Jack Valentine scored two goals and added an assist for Glass, Matt McAden added a goal and assist.  The Hilltoppers improve to 12-3-and-1 overall, 11-0-and-1 in the Seminole District.  Glass will be the top seed for the Seminole Tournament beginning Monday.

 Appomattox Co. 3, Altavista 1 - Raiders improve to 6-and-3 on the season



 Girls Soccer:


Brookville 2, Rustburg 1 - Brookville got goals from Maddi Woodroof and Maddi Martin and held off the Red Devils.



Softball:

E.C. Glass 10, William Fleming 9 - The Hilltoppers broke up a 4-all tie by scoring six runs in the 4th, the Colonels rallied for two runs in the 5th, three in the 6th but fall one run short.  Megan Brinkley led E.C. Glass at the plate, going 3-for-4 and scoring two runs.   SEE VIDEO PLAYER FOR HIGHLIGHTS



Boys Track & Field:

Matthew Zajac of E.C. Glass broke his personal best with a throw of 203 feet, 9 inches Wednesday night to win the discus in the Seminole District Track & Field Championships.
