A potent cold front moves through our state during the next 24 hours. This afternoon the rain will be heavy at times, with embedded thunderstorms. Torrential downpours could lead to flash flooding. Any thunderstorms that develop could become strong to severe, containing damaging winds. The stormy weather continues through midnight. Rainfall totals will range between 1-3". By early Friday morning the rain departs the region.
