Amherst Baseball, Brookville Softball Win Seminole Titles


It took Amherst County an hour and 45 minutes to take down Brookville. The Lancers run-ruled the Bees 10-0 in five innings Thursday night to win the final Seminole District Tournament championship.

Will Keesee was 3-3 with 5 RBIs. Jacob Orme was 2-2, Hunter Floyd 2-2, Michael Story 2-3. Nathan Trevillian improved to 9-0 on the mound pitching 5 innings, allowing 6 hits, to go along with 5 strikeouts and a walk.

Brett Yates had 2 hits for Brookville. 


Jordan Dail was ready to play Thursday night. The Brookville pitcher struck out 10 batters and went 2-3 at the plate in Brookville's 2-1 win over Rustburg in the Seminole District Championship Game.

Brookville is now 20-0 as they move onto next week's Conference Tournament at Liberty H.S. in Bedford. Brookville had a bye Monday and will play on Tuesday.
