Hillcats Beat Dash 10-4

Lynchburg - Kyle Wren's two-run triple in the fourth inning broke up a 3-all tie and sent the Hillcats on their way to a 10-4 win over Winston-Salem in the opener of their four-game series in Lynchburg.

Lynchburg trailed on two different occasions to the Dash, but after squaring the game at 3 in the third on Will Skinner's rbi single, Lynchburg took command by scoring four in the fourth.  Jose Peraza stole his league-leading 23rd base of the year for the Hillcats in the fourth to get into scoring position before Wren's two-run triple.

Skinner had a big night at the plate for Lynchburg, 3-for-5 including a two-run double in the 8th.  Skinner matched his career-high with four rbi's. Wren, Josh Elander, Daniel Castro and Kevin Ahrens also had multi-hit games.  The Hillcats scored double digits at home for the first time this season and the fourth time overall this year.

Lynchburg matches its season-high three-game win streak, the 'Cats look for their first four-game winning streak when they battle the Dash in game two of the series Saturday night at Calvin Falwell Field.
