BASEBALL

G.W. 4, E.C. Glass 0 - G.W.'s Justin Mondul threw six shutout innings and went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored

Amherst Co. 6, Fluvanna 1 - Nathan Trevillian threw a four-hitter and struck out 10 in the win.  Michael Story and D.A. Christian had two hits.  The Lancers will host Thursday's Harrisonburg at Louisa winner Friday night at 6 at Amherst.  The Harrisonburg/Louisa game was rained out Wednesday night.

Dan River 4, Appomattox Co. 3 - Bradley Tickle had the game-winning rbi single in the bottom of the seventh for Dan River.




SOFTBALL


Brookville 11, Tunstall 1 (6) - The Bees stay unbeaten on the season, earn an automatic regional berth and play Liberty at Liberty Friday night at 6 for the conference title.

Liberty 4, Rustburg 3 - Down to its last out, Liberty struck for three runs in the seventh, then held on to edge Rustburg 4-3.  The Lady Minutemen wrap up a regional berth and take on Brookville Friday at 6 for the title.




BOYS SOCCER

Jefferson Forest 2, Pulaski Co. 0 - Aaron Crance and Ben May scored for the Cavs, who earn an automatic regional berth and host E.C. Glass in the conference title game Friday night at 6.

E.C. Glass 2, Salem 1 - Glass got goals from Matt McAden and Tyler Larson to win at Salem.  The Hilltoppers improve to 16-3-and-1 overall, earn an automatic regional berth, and play at JF Friday for the conference title.

Altavista 6, Cumberland 1 - Dylan Brooks scored three goals for the Colonels, Walker Allen added two.  Altavista earns a regional berth and will play for the conference title Friday night.

Appomattox Co. 3, Dan River 1 - Appomattox earns regional berth and will host conference title game Friday night.




GIRLS SOCCER


Jefferson Forest 7, Pulaski Co. 0  - Cassidy Ratliff scores four goals and reaches 176 points for her JF career, breaking the all-time points record for the program.  JF earns automatic regional berth and will host E.C. Glass Friday at 8 for the conference title.

E.C. Glass 1, Salem 0 - Alex Royer scored the game's only goal in the second half.  Glass earns an automatic regional berth and plays at JF Friday night at 8 for the conference title.

Altavista 3, Chatham 0 - Chelsea Robinson scored two goals for Altavista, Natalie Durham had the other.  The Colonels earn a regional berth and play at Appomattox Co. Friday night for the title.



BOYS TENNIS

E.C. Glass improves to 21-and-0 on the season, blanking Dominion 5-0 in the region semifinals.  Glass will host the region title match Friday and with Wednesday's win earns a berth in the state's final four.  The Hilltoppers are defending state champions.
