Roanoke Police Arrest Paintball Shooting Suspect

Roanoke, VA - Roanoke Police have charged a man with misdemeanor assault and battery, resisting arrest, and driving on a revoked license after he allegedly shot someone in the face and back with a paintball gun.

Police were initially called to the 1200 block of Chapman Avenue after a 56-year-old man from Roanoke, told officers he was riding his bicycle when the occupants of a newer model, four door, white Nissan drove up behind him and began shooting him with a paintball gun. 

He was shot in the back and in the face with the paintball gun. 

Almost immediately after broadcasting a lookout for the vehicle, an officer noticed a car matching its description nearby. 

Officers located the unoccupied car in the 1000 block of Campbell Avenue.

Several witnesses came forward and said they saw three people get out of the car and run. 

Officers found 19 year old Dionte Raheem DeSean Bush on the porch of a home on 14th Street.  After a foot pursuit, police took Bush into custody.
